\"\"<\/a>The children and parents of St Joseph\u2019s were delighted to lend a hand to Helensburgh Rotary Club\u2019s Aquabox Appeal last term. This year the children were not asked to bring in small toiletry items etc. as in previous years but to collect money to assist in buying an Aquabox which was already full of essential items for those people in third world countries. St Joseph\u2019s gladly embraced the request and held a non-uniform day solely for the purpose of raising funds for the appeal.


Douglas Dow of Helensburgh Rotary Club was overwhelmed to hear the result! Thinking the school might be able to raise enough money to purchase or help purchase one Aquabox, Douglas was delighted to hear the children had raised a total of \u00a3202.01\u2026.enough to purchase TWO Aquaboxes!!!!<\/p>\n

Douglas and the Rotary Club\u2019s president Graham, came along to St Joseph\u2019s Primary School and Pre-5 Unit on Tuesday 24 June to receive the cheque from the children and Head Teacher, Michelle Collins. Ms Collins said, \u2018We are always happy to help with the Aquabox Appeal. It is such a worthy cause and Douglas has told us he will let us know the final destination of our two boxes. This will be really nice for the children to know as they will be able to clearly identify which countries and people benefited from their positive efforts in Global Citizenship.
