\nWhat is Story Lab?<\/strong>
\nIt\u2019s a five-sided hi-tech HQ that attracts stories from all over the world and sends them spinning throughout the city – and beyond! It\u2019s the place to read, collect, share, create, transmit and broadcast stories…<\/p>\n

How do I sign up?<\/strong>
\nJust head to your local library at the beginning of the summer holidays. Staff will enrol you – it\u2019s completely free of charge – and every child will receive a membership card or pack.<\/p>\n

What books can children read?<\/strong>
\nThe Summer Reading Challenge is designed for children of all ages and reading abilities. They can read any books they like – fact books, stories, joke books, picture books – it\u2019s up to them. Audio books count too! As long as you\u2019re borrowing them from the library, they all count. <\/p>\n

Do the children who finish the challenge receive anything?<\/strong>
\nYes, everybody gets a certificate, and there may be other rewards from your library, too. Just ask them when you join up.<\/p>\n

Julia Donaldson, a keen supporter of libraries, said:
