Let The Battle Begin!

It was no ordinary Sports Day at Sandbank Primary as this year the children took part in a Highland Games competing in their Clans. The opening ceremony got the Games off to a great start. Led by pipers, the Clans waved their banners as they sang and marched to Highland Cathedral.
Then it was off to the competitions which included various running and jumping events, hammer throwing, shot put and of course tossing the caber!

New Arrivals at Sandbank Primary!

The pupils and parents of Sandbank Primary could hardly contain their excitement last week as four chicks hatched in the primary 1/2 class. For three weeks the children counted down the days eagerly awaiting their arrival. Finally on Sports Day, and to the delight of everyone, Sporty, Shelly and Fluffy hatched. The next morning the children arrived into class to find a crack appearing on another egg. Throughout the day regular updates were relayed around the school and at 3:15pm Skye finally hatched! Come dine with us – Sandbank Primary

Monday 25th February saw GMU 1/2 of Sandbank Primary produce their own version of “Come dine with us”
During the previous five weeks the boys and girls had chosen a menu to serve to a group of adults. The starter was roast butternut squash and chicken salad. This was followed by individual meatloaves served with mashed potatoes, broccoli and a courgette bake. To finish off they chose an apple and blackberry tart, served with cream or custard.
