Today our balloon pop treat was a yummy slushie. We sat outside in the sun to drink our slushies.

POTATOES!!!
We harvested our potatoes and then they were cooked into delicious wedges to enjoy as a treat in the class. Yum!
Money!
We have enjoyed learning about money this past week. We worked together in our pairs on an activity to match the correct coins to the amounts.
Park fun!
Well it was an amazing trip to the park. We had so much fun!
Cola and Mentos Experiment.
We were scientists again and this time we made a hypothesis as to what might happen if we added Mentos to Coca Cola.
We were right with our predictions that it would cause a volcano of coke.
We were very excited but I couldn’t quite catch the mid eruption on camera as it was too quick after I had put the mentos in.
Skittles Experiment
We were scientists today and conducted an investigation to see what happens when you add water to skittles.
We hypothesised to predict what would happen and then recorded the results.
The water dissolved the sugar and food colouring in the skittles to create a rainbow effect towards the centre of the plate. It was fun!
Reading Time
Parachute fun!
We played lots of parachute games on Thursday as part of sports week! We tried to keep balls and beanbags on the parachutes, practised controlling it slow and fast and we played ‘Fruit Salad’. It was fun!
