Indian Food Tasting at Kirn Primary

Well done to Kirn Primary’s P2 class who tried a range of delicious Indian foods, prepared by our talented catering team. P2 have been studying India as part of their topic, and what better way to find out about Indian food than to come and taste some.

The boys and girls tried a wide range of Indian foods including onion and red pepper pakora, vegetable pakora, onion bhajis, vegetable samosas, poppadoms, naan bread, mango chutney, raita, lime pickle, chicken korma, tikka masala, chana masala and chickpea dhal to name but a few!!

Miss Miller looked “gorgeous” in her salwar kameez.

A fun time was had by all! Comments included:

” I liked the onion bhajis, I’ve never had them before.”

“It was spicy and burning hot. I tried everything, lots of new things.”

“I tried red pepper pakora, it was hot and tasty.”

“I had lime pickle, it was salty on my tongue!”

A big thanks to Lynn and her team for letting us enjoy their culinary skills.
